NOT ANOTHER WEEK AHEAD...

Does this sound like you?

You're good at your job. Really good. The kind of person people rely on, promote, and pile more onto, because they know you will get it done.

And yet.

There is a version of Sunday evening you know well. The one where the weekend is almost over and the weight of the week ahead settles in quietly. Not a crisis. Not a breakdown. Just a low, familiar heaviness. A question you don't want to ask keeps popping up:

Is this it?

What it looks like when that changes

Getting to the end of the week and realising you are not exhausted in that particular way. You made one hard decision. You had the conversation you'd been putting off. You said 'no' to a project that didn't fit. You quietly held a boundary. And the weekend felt different because of it.

You are not waiting for your manager to change. You are not scrolling job sites at 11pm. You know what you value now, and you are starting to build around it.

That is not a dramatic reinvention. That is what clarity in your career actually feels like.

The problem is NOT what you think it is

Here is what I have learned from working with mid-career women: the problem is almost never what it looks like on the surface.

It's not the manager. Not the organisation. Not even the job title.

It's that who you are now (what you value, what you need, what genuinely energises you) has shifted. And the career you have been building has not caught up.

That gap is exhausting to live in. Especially when everything looks fine from the outside.

Career Reset is not about quitting your job overnight. It is not about starting over. It is about understanding what you can change, what you cannot, and finding the courage to take the next step.

38,000 hours

I turned 48 recently and did some maths I couldn't stop thinking about.

The average life expectancy for a woman in New Zealand is 83. Which means (if I'm lucky) I have around 35 years left. Realistically, I will be working for another 20 of those years.

That is around 38,000 hours of work still ahead of me.

38,000 hours is too much time to feel stuck. Too much time to go through the motions. Too much time to keep asking 'is this it?' without ever finding out.

MEET JULIA

I've been where you are

I spent two decades in marketing and communications, including buying the agency where I worked when my oldest son was just two years old. From the outside: successful. Inside: trapped by the business I had worked so hard to build, overwhelmed, and completely unable to see the wood from the trees. Some days felt incredibly heavy. I knew I was not happy. I just could not imagine what else I could do.

A conversation with a mentor changed everything. She asked me a question and I mentioned, almost in passing, that I wished I'd had career guidance as a teenager. The moment I said it, something clicked. I completed my career guidance qualifications in 2017 and have never looked back.

What changed was not advice. It was one honest conversation that asked the right question at the right time. That is what Career Reset is designed to give you.

What is Career Reset?

  • An 8-week online group programme. Every week, a new module to work through in your own time: video, reflection exercises, worksheets. Every week, a live Zoom session with me and the other women in your cohort. Not a lecture. A conversation. The kind where you realise, often for the first time, that you are not the only one.

  • You have access to all video content for a full year. You work at your own pace. There is no chasing, no pressure, no penalties for life getting in the way.

  • What there is: a framework that actually works. A group of women who understand. And a qualified careers adviser who has been where you are and knows there is a way through.

  • Time commitment required: approximately 20 minutes for the weekly video, 40 minutes for the exercises, and one hour for the live Zoom (Tuesdays 1-2pm). Around 2 hours a week.

The eight modules

Module 1 - Understand Your Starting Point

So you know exactly where you are before you try to change anything.

Module 2 - Strengths & Capabilities

So you can stop underselling yourself and start speaking about your experience with confidence.

Module 3 - Personality & Work Style

So you understand why some environments drain you and others do not, and what you actually need from your work.

Module 4 - Values & Priorities

So you can name what matters to you now, not who you were ten years ago.

Module 5 - Reframing Your Career Story

So you can talk about your experience in a way that opens doors rather than closes them.

Module 6 - Expanding Possibilities

So you can see options you had not seriously considered before.

Module 7 - Confidence & Influence

So you can have the conversations you have been avoiding.

Module 8 - Career Strategy

So you leave with a plan, not just clarity.

REAL WOMEN WITH REAL OUTCOMES

What the women from cohort one actually did

  • One woman had a conversation with her manager she had been putting off for months. Her employer is now hiring a full-time administrator to support her.

  • One woman resigned from a role that no longer reflected her values. She trusted that decision, because she finally understood what her values actually were.

  • One woman recognised she had been absorbing more and more because she was trusted to deliver. She stepped back, intentionally, on her own terms.

  • All of them learnt more about themselves and what they needed from their work.

TESTIMONIALS

In their own words:

"I wasn't alone"

"Being surrounded by women who genuinely understood what I was experiencing made me realise I wasn't alone."

"Career Reset gave me the courage"

"I already knew deep down what some of the issues were, but Career Reset gave me the courage and framework to finally do something about them."

"I invested in my own career"

"This was the first time I'd properly invested in my own career... I now have a really clear direction for what I need.."

Is this for you?

Career Reset is for you if:

  • You're mid-career, capable and increasingly flat about your work

  • You've been asking yourself 'is this it' for longer that you'd like to admit

  • You know something needs to change but you are not sure what, how, or whether you are brave enough

  • You are not looking for a dramatic reinvention. You want clarity and the courage to take one next step.

  • You are ready to stop waiting for things to change

Frequently asked questions

FIND OUT IF CAREER RESET IS RIGHT FOR YOU

Who is Career Reset for?

Career Reset is designed for any mid-career women, typically in their late 30s, 40s and 50s, no matter your role or title. This stage of life often brings new reflections about work, purpose, and how we want to spend the next stage of our working lives.

Who is Career Reset NOT for?

Career Reset is not for women who:

* Want instant answers without reflection or personal responsibility

* Are not willing to question long-held assumptions or patterns

* Want a guaranteed outcome or a one-size-fits-all solution

* Thrive on negativity, comparison or drama

* Are unwilling or unable to commit time each week to engage with the process

* Are currently in crisis and need urgent therapeutic or clinical support

What is the format of Career Reset?

Career Reset runs over 8 weeks and is designed to fit into your busy life. Each week you’ll receive a module with videos introducing a fresh topic and practical strategies. Alongside this, you’ll join a live group Zoom session with Julia (1-2pm Tuesdays), where you'll dive deeper, be able to ask questions, and share the journey with others. Every module also includes exercises, tips, and guidance to help you apply what you’ve learned, with the added bonus of Julia’s wisdom and support to keep you moving forward.

How l long will I have access to the Career Reset modules?

You will have access to the weekly modules, exercises and weekly Zoom video recordings for 1 year.

Is Career Reset a coaching programme or a course?

It’s a blend of both. You’ll receive structured content and exercises to guide your thinking, combined with live group sessions where we explore ideas, share insights, and discuss real career situations. This combination of structure and conversation is what helps participants move from reflection into practical next steps.

How much time will the Career Reset require each week?

Career Reset is designed to fit alongside a busy professional life.

You can expect to spend approximately:

• 20 minutes on the weekly videos
• 40 minutes on reflection exercises
• 1hour on the weekly Zoom call (1-2pm Tuesdays)

Many participants find the reflection time one of the most valuable parts of the programme - a rare opportunity to pause and think intentionally about their career.

What if I'm unable to attend the live Zoom sessions?

Weekly Zoom sessions will be recorded so you watch these in your own time if you're unable to join these live. However, most participants prioritise attending live where possible, as the shared conversation and insights from other women are a powerful part of the experience.

I'm not unhappy in my job - I just feel a bit flat. Is Career Reset still right for me?

Yes. In fact, that’s exactly where many participants begin. Career Reset is designed for capable mid-career women who are not in crisis, but who sense that something about their work no longer feels quite right. You may simply want to reconnect with what energises you, think more intentionally about the years ahead, and ensure your career continues to evolve in a way that fits your life now, or your future working years.

Can Career Reset help me to find a new job?

Career Reset isn’t a recruitment service, but it will guide you through a proven process to identify the key criteria that make a role fulfilling and energising for you. By the end of the programme, you’ll have clarity on what is most important to you in your work. This means that if you do want to start exploring new opportunities, you’ll be equipped with the confidence and direction to pursue and secure a role that’s the right fit for you.

Will I get any 1:1 support with Career Reset?

Some women choose to add individual 1:1 career support alongside the group programme. This is optional and available separately, depending on availability. Career Reset is designed to stand on its own as a complete group experience.

Are there a limited number of spaces allowed per cohort?

Career Reset is intentionally kept small so that everyone has space to reflect, participate, and share insights if they wish. This also allows the group discussions to remain thoughtful, supportive, and meaningful.

What if I'm not sure what I want yet?

You’re not expected to arrive with a clear answer. Career Reset is designed to help you discover that clarity, not require it from the start.

Through structured reflection, strengths and personality insights, and guided discussion, the programme helps you identify what matters most to you now and what meaningful work could look like in the next stage of your career.

What if I join and realise that Career Reset isn't right for me?

Career Reset is designed for women who are ready to reflect, engage with the material, and participate in the process. Most participants find that the real value emerges as the weeks progress and the pieces begin to connect. However, if you genuinely engage with the programme - attend the sessions, complete the exercises, and give the process a fair try - and feel that it’s not the right fit for you, please reach out to me.

I’m committed to running Career Reset with integrity and care. If someone is sincerely showing up and doing the work but feels the programme isn’t serving them, I’m always happy to have a conversation and find a fair solution. The intention is that everyone who joins feels supported, respected, and confident in their decision to be part of the programme.

Will I be asked to agree to any Terms & Conditions for Career Reset?

Yes, you will be asked to agree to the Career Reset Terms & Conditions when you enrol at checkout. I recommend taking a few minutes to read them before purchasing, so you know exactly what to expect from the programme, how it works, and the terms of participation. Click here to read the Career Reset Terms & Conditions.

What happens once Career Reset finishes?

By the end of Career Reset you will have developed a clear personal career strategy for the next stage of your working life. Many participants choose to continue implementing their ideas gradually over time, while others take more immediate steps such as exploring new opportunities, reshaping their current role, or investing further in their professional development. The goal of the programme is to leave you with clarity, confidence, and direction - so that the next chapter of your career evolves by intention rather than default.

You will also be the first to hear about exclusive upcoming events and programmes currently in development.
