I am a Morrisby-accredited independent careers advisor who specialises in working with those needing guidance in their career journey. After much research, I chose to use the Morrisby profiling system due to its world-leading reputation, relevance, ease of use and comprehensive offering.

Like many people, I received minimal careers guidance at school. The support I did receive was high level and generalised; I didn’t understand my unique strengths and weaknesses in order to consider subjects and careers which would suit me best.

My career evolved organically over time; after university I worked in various marketing roles for a number of years, I’ve run my own business Creative Marketing since 2007 employing staff and contractors, and have clients in various industries located across New Zealand.

So, with a successful marketing career, why did I choose to qualify as a careers advisor? Because I believe there is a lack of qualified support available for young people (in particular) to make the best decisions about subjects and career directions whilst at secondary school, resulting in wasted time, money and morale. I’m passionate about supporting people to avoid making costly mistakes by taking the wrong subjects or heading down the wrong qualifications pathway.

I really enjoy going through the results with my clients, and helping them to make a plan for their future.  As a mother of two sons, I also approach this process through the eyes of a parent who only wants the best for their child!
